Johann Kim
Johann is a senior at Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia, with a strong interest in economics and business. He founded Save the Youth to give students in the United States and abroad a simple way to build real friendships through conversation.
As President, Johann leads the organization and sets its direction. He recruits Host mentors, reviews applications, and matches each Host with an international Partner based on schedules and interests. He also sits in on sessions from time to time to see how pairs are doing and to keep improving the program.
Jackson Kuhlman
Jackson is a core member of the Save the Youth leadership team. He keeps track of the details so that nothing falls through the cracks as the program grows.
As Secretary, Jackson reviews the session tracker to see how each pair is progressing, manages the program’s email communication, and follows up with students when a session is missed or a participant is hard to reach. His work helps every pair stay on track for the full program.
Abraham Coulibaly
Abraham is a core member of the Save the Youth leadership team and helps shape how the program runs day to day. He cares about making sure every student, Host and Partner alike, has a positive and meaningful experience.
As Director, Abraham manages student participants and keeps a record of each mentor’s progress. He sits in on sessions, writes short feedback notes, and emails mentors with suggestions so their conversations keep getting better over the program.
